I make initial decisions of where and how to pour which color, while the paint then proceeds to make it's own decisions, causing a back and forth conversation that can go on for hours.
I love that.
My progression as an artist seems to have become a matter of learning to go with the unexpected, and not let my visual prejudices spoil the process.
In doing so, my work has become more vibrant, more able to stand up straight and breathe.
